How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My plan was to buy a motorcycle, but I never had the money to accomplish my plan. I will have to cut Palm for people the whole day just to get money. But when I started receiving money from givedirectly my life has changed, I'm now a motorcycle owner, and running my owned business with motorbike. Many thanks to Givedirectly for their support.

Givedirectly did very well in my life and that of our village. Givedirectly was able to enrolled our entire village, givedirectly has changed our entire village with so many new houses, there's nothing that givedirectly hasn't done well

When I received my transfer I was able to buy motorcycle. to do business where in when givedirectly goes I will be able to support my family. The rest of the money I was able to buy enough foodstuff for my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in route to my farm when Givedirectly sent my first transfer to my mobile money account unexpectedly. Joyfully, I ran back to my house and started singing dialect songs. Thanks to Givedirectly for fulfilling thier promised made to us. Receiving this transfer is like a dream to me because of the past experienced I ever had with other NGos who implemented projects in our community . I have been planning to build new house for my family to relocate . Our current house is very old and is at the verge of falling. Due to hardship, I have been complacent and embarrassed with the kind of dwelling place we have. I am a farmer but the size of our farm this year is small . Getting to own large farm in our village requires spending lack of money to pay cashier laborious. The rice harvested from our farm this year was used as food only.
Thanks to Givedirectly for the kind gesture. I believed that with my transfer, our dream to live a decent house will come to pass.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I ride motorbike for survival but it broke down. When I get this money, I will use it to buy a motorbike and start running traffic again.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What make me happy in recent times is that I'm harvesting the rice I planted on my farm. I will sell some which will serve as income for my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My current challenge is financial difficulties, I mostly cut palm and make oil to sell to get money. During the rainy season, we really don't cut palm and if you even managed to get a little, it's of less use because the rain spoiled the road.
