What did you spend your third transfer on?
My third transfer has been facilitating the burial ceremony of my mother-in-law. It is unfortunate that the money came when we had lost our loved one but it has made our work easier. All processes had gone through very well. In fact it covered us from shame since we had managed to take care of all our visitors who came to mourn with us.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received transfer from Give Directly in that I have been able to acquire a good state of body health after this money enabled me seek for treatment following a road accident I got back then. I am now able to walk well and do work to provide for my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I am pleased with the fact that Give Directly sent money to everyone who was eligible but the only area I would request for improvement is the amount it gives out. I feel that some of us were not able to meet all their development projects since it was never enough.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer to buy a sofa set and bedding since I had no seats and no proper bedding in my house. I then took another bigger share and bought a cow which I used to pay my wife's dowry and gave 5000 KES to my wife for a fish vending business. The remaining balance was spent on foodstuffs for my family since we had a poor harvest last season.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have enough food for my family despite the drought having spoilt our crops last season.
