Currently, my life is different in that I have started a workshop business which I supplement with the income I get from the casual construction labourer job that I do on a part-time basis. lately, I have been able to provide for my family with ease and save as well. Through saving, I am hopeful that someday I will be a successful entrepreneur out of starting a motorcycle job hence I won't have to be employed in the private sector but rather focus on my business.

My new goal is to save part of the profits I am getting from my workshop business and construction job where I am a labourer.To settle the debt that I have for the motorcycle that I had purchased on deposit. After settling this debt, I will gain full ownership of the motorcycle meaning I will be able to enjoy all the profits that the business makes.

I spent the larger part of my recent transfer to settling my sister hospital bills who fell sick and unfortunately, she passed on while undergoing treatment. The remaining transfer I spent on her funeral expenses because everyone was looking unto me being the first born and bearing in mind that I come from a less fortunate background GiveDirectly's transfer come in handy. My life is currently different from how it would have been had I never received the transfer in that I now have a constant source of income to cater for my family needs. In the past I used to struggle with the little money I got from casual work and it was not enough to meet all my needs and pay school fees for my siblings. I used my transfers to start a new business and I am now happy since I have a source of income to meet the family needs. I am planning to use my second transfer to buy the motorcycle which will be an additional source of income to my family. Currently, I am struggling to provide for my family and pay school fees for my siblings with the little money I get from my photo shop. Starting the motorcycle business will therefore be an additional source of income to pay school fees and cater for other needs of my family.

I spent my most recent transfer to pay school fees for my sister. This is because I received my transfer at a time when she was joining secondary school and my mother was not able to pay all her school fees. I also used part of transfer to pay rent because I had not paid for the previous month. I also used the remaining amount to buy two goats. I decided to invest my transfers to buy the goats since their gestation period is short and I know that by the end of this year they will have increased in number. I will sell these goats in future to pay school fees for my sister in secondary school.

I am planning to use part of my next transfers open an M-pesa agent shop next to my workshop because the area is very prime and most customers usually ask for such services.I will use the remaining amount to expand my business and purchase other required tools.

Since I opened my own workshop,I have been able to make more money because I don't have to share what I make with anybody as was the case when I was employed. I also have a lot of flexibility which allows me to do other casula jobs that I may come across which still means more money.

I decided to use the entire amount I received to open my own workshop where I make and sell picture frames. I have been working for a friend for some time now and what he paid me was very little compared to what he made. This encouraged me to rent a place and purchase the necessary tools and materials and start my own business because I know I am good at what I do,which means I will get many customers.

I did not believe that this whole project was real because several other organizations have disappointed me in the past. So the moment I received the money I was actually very surprised. I called our chairperson to confirm if he had received the money as well just to be sure I was not imagining things. After the confirmation, I immediately started planning on how to spend the cash without any delays because I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
