How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to start my house project, this has been my main goal from the beginning of the GiveDirectly program, though I did other things like paying my three children's school fees, buying furniture for my room, and setting up a little business. I am doing my best to make this goal to be achieved since GiveDirectly has given me the opportunity I needed to start it.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by being fair to us during the enrollment process, they also fulfilled the promise made to us from the beginning of the program, they were kind and patient with us during interviews throughout the program; I don't know what GiveDirectly is not doing well in this town.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy nails, and some building materials for my house project, I also bought a DVD player to entertain myself some time, I bought foodstuffs also for my family, the balance is in savings.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to build a house that my children can inherit in the future, my husband has two wives and I know that the house we now live in belongs to his parents, the other wife is also bringing forth her own children and I don't want my children and her children to end up having confusion because of this family house in the future. I also want to have a business of my own so that I can help my husband contribute to the family expenses.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by having a good manner of approach with their recipients, they are also kind in counselling us when we need some advices, I don't have any complain about GiveDirectly, the program is okay to me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my third transfer to buy building materials to start my house project, I also paid some of my three children school fees, I bought food for the family as well and a little amount was saved for any emergency.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will use my cash transfer to start a business. Most of the everyday commodities like salt, oil, rice etc aren't sold in our town easily. We have to go to the nearest town to purchase those items. I will buy these items from the general market and bring it in my town for others to have easy access.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When my son who was sick got well.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Lack of money. My husband is not working and it has been very difficult for him to take care of me and the second wife as well as the children.
