Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now happier and comfortable because I have acquired livestock . Furthermore, I can buy food with ease. Previously, I had to toil tooth and nail to get food for the family. The cash transfers have offloaded this burden off my shoulders.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I received a mobile money message at night while I was still awake. However, I called upon one of my children to read it for me. I was very happy that GiveDirectly had considered to help me out of this situation.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the first cash transfer to purchase two cows worth UGX1200000. I also bought a mattress worth UGX100000 and UGX100000 to buy clothes for the children. The remaining balance of UGX300000, I plan to spend it on purchasing goats and pigs for rearing purposes.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to buy oxen for ploughing, a cow that can provide milk for my family and some house hold items. I believe this will improve the standard of living in my home.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening when my children are playing. They make a lot of fun.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is poverty. From the time I started my own family, life has not been easy. Poverty is the order. I have children who need my attention in all aspects but I don't have the capacity to provide for them. Some times I feel I have just failed in life. I don't have oxen that would support in farming so even just feeding is a charllage in my household. There is no food.
