I spent my third transfer on installing electricity in my house hence I no longer incur the expenses of buying paraffin.I also plastered the floor of my house from a mud one and started a small retail shop business and now I am self reliant.

My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I have a small retail shop business which I get profits and use on my household expenses thus I no longer ask my husband for money as used to before the transfer since I was a house-wife.

In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by embracing voluntary participation on enrolling recipients who were eligible for the transfers. However GiveDirectly did not do well since they never followed up recipients to their homes to see how the recipients spent the money.

I spent the larger part of my second transfer on buying a fishing net hence my husband uses this fishing net on harvesting fish and selling them in a near by center and through this business we are getting daily income for sustenance. I paid school fees for my three children who are in primary school. I bought a sofa set seat that I did not have.I also bought one bag of maize to feed on with my family.

When I received my third transfer, I spent it on 5 bags cement and a lorry of sand. The floor of my main house was too dusty to live in.

My main plan is to fence my home. People are just encroaching into it establishing several paths into it and this disturbs my peace of mind. It compromise my privacy and therefore I will use the whole of my second transfer to fence the home.
