How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving transfer from GiveDirectly, I had a great desired to built my own house and move out of my father's house with my family. Interestingly, GiveDirectly came with this financial assistance and since then my whole focus had been on how to see my dream come through. Therefore, all my three transfers were save to be added to my recent transfer in order for me to buy all the building materials at once. On that note, I have not developed any new goal apart from my goal to built my own house. For this reason, I used some of the money and bought building materials such as, five bundles of zinc, five packs of zinc nail, a cartoon of roofing nail, steel rods and cement. I am very excited excited to be one of the beneficiaries of GD program. Because this had bought my dream to reality.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my sincere opinion, GiveDirectly has done a remarkable job. What started with a town hall meeting that many of us thought was never going to become a reality is today what had brought so much relieved and happiness in our various lives. Thanks to the staff of GiveDirectly for their continued patience and efforts applied in reaching us. The seed of gratitude in my heart for GiveDirectly will always come alive on my lips with thanks and praises. Therefore, I have not seen anything wrong done by GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving all my transfers from GiveDirectly, with the goal of building my own house, and not wanting to be going back and forth buying materials, I save all my transfers and decided to buy my them at once. On that note, I used a good portion of my transfers and bought all my building materials such as, five bundles of zinc, five packs of zinc nail, a cartoon of roof nail, cement, steel rods, ect. Moreover, a portion of the money was spend to buy some pieces of planks for the roofing, windows and doors. Furthermore, some of the money was used to pay the contractors their fees. Finally, the balance money will be spent on food and other miscellaneous. Thanks to Give Directly for this great financial favour.
