How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before the transfers, I did not have any reliable source of income. I have always relied on a small income from odd jobs in the village but would not get enough to meet all my needs in time and well. I have always sort help from my parents and siblings whenever I have a financial crisis. This is why I chose to start a business with these transfers so that I can always have money to meet my needs without having to seek help. I used my transfers to start a small beadwork business which has kept me going financially. Without the transfers, I would not be at peace as I am now.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life?
I am planning to use my next transfers to start a shoe business. I am currently running a beadwork business and it is not doing well as I expected. The income is not much and I feel I need to get a better business to boost my income and help me raise money to meet my needs comfortably without stress and borrowing.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on boosting my beadwork business by adding more stock to the business. It was going down and I needed to boost it before it collapsed. The rest of the transfers I used on buying food for my family. The little we had was almost used up and I did not want to wait until I run out of food in the house to buy more. I have saved the little that remained to help in future needs.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life is the business which I am sure I will have very soon. In the past before the transfers, I had the idea of starting a business but due to low income from casual jobs, the idea could not materialise. It was only a dream for me because I did not have anywhere I could get the capital for the business. With GD transfers, I have started my savings and I know I will accomplish the goal because GD will never fail to send me the transfers. I feel confident and given me the assurance that my future will be better.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life?
Currently, I do not have any new goal. I am still focused on saving for the business. I would not want to continue struggling as I have in the past hence I want to ensure in the next three months, I will be able to start the business with these transfers.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have saved my transfer and planning to start another business with the money. I have been doing a small groundnut business which has not been yielding so much income to help me meet my needs. This is why I have chosen to save the transfer to start a shoe business which I know will give me a better income to help me meet all my needs. I would want to have a better future.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before GD came to my area with the money transfer program, I had no job and mostly depended on my mother for my needs. it was not such a good feeling because, at my age, the roles should be reversed. I had tried some domestic jobs but I had to quit at some point because they were quite irregular and the money I spent on my transport was even more than what I earned. Ever since I started receiving these transfers, I have managed to support my mother financially especially in critical areas such as paying part of my brother's school fees. I have also managed to start a small business on necklace and bracelet making for little income to take care of our daily needs. Even though I am still not where I would want to be financially, I know I am headed there with the great plans I have, and it is all thanks to GD.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life?
I plan to start another business on clothes and shoes to boost my daily income which is not at a good place at the moment. currently, I make and sell bead items such as necklaces and bracelets which require so much effort to make yet earn so little. I am currently saving my transfers so that in the next few months, I can be able to start the new business for better income.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I saved the whole amount I recently received for the purposes of starting another business. I am currently making and selling bead items which don't earn me much and my plan is to supplement the business with clothes and shoe business hence reason for the savings.

What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I will start selling clothes and I believe that this will help me improve my livelihood. I would love to go and study hair dressing because I have a few skills on it and having training will help me start a salon business. Sometimes I can not afford rent so if I get the money I can pay rent and not worry where to stay.
Describe your biggest worry.
My top concern is unemployment because if I do not get a job I can not buy basic needs like food or take care of my family, but having a job can always help me survive each day without worring
What are your greatest ambitions?
My ambition in life is to have a good life, build my own house, make sure my child grows up well and also gets the best education. Also because when I get to have a sustainable plan I can get that life I want.
Describe your usual day. How do you spend your time?
On my usual I do house work and all the cleaning take care of my child until evening and sometimes I go out looking for jobs but not so often. On my free time I try to be updated on latest movies, I also try to visit my aunts or other relatives.
