Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was so happy when I received my transfer. I have never received such amount of money from anyone else. The transfer brought joy and happiness to my life. I am forever grateful.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
In my life, I have never slept on a Mattress, GD has given me an opportunity to sleep comfortably on a mattress with nice beddings. I have also managed to buy iron sheets which I couldn't have managed to buy on my own. I am so grateful because I am also using the money to feed myself and my child.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My plan is to build a good and a nice house. I bought all required materials such as iron sheets. I will start building a house when the rainy season stops. My sleeping place was also not nice. I used MK 63 000 to buy a mattress. I also bought some blackects. I have also bought 2 bags just for a start because I will buy some maize in the next coming days. I also used the money to buy kitchen utensils such as spoons, water buckets and pots.
