I remember that moment the notification message was sent to i couldn't hold myself and everyone in my compound was very excited as i was.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Honestly speaking me and my family's everyday lives have changed so much since receiving money from Givedirectly, u can imagine that now we have enough food and we are eating the way we want. Everyone in my family is super happy and grateful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have spent some of my money from Givedirectly to buy iron sheets and i have also bought bags of maize.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money, I will build a house, big enough for my family. The one we live in now is really small. I will also buy blankets and a mattress for comfortable sleep. I will use some of the money to buy food because we don't harvest enough because of lack of fertilizer and fall army worms that destroy the crops. This leaves us food insecure year in, year out. This money will help us better prepare for this year's cropping season by buying fertilizer and pesticides so that we have good harvest next year.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the afternoon is where I am the happiest because of waking up with good health. Sharing a meal with my family also makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of money. It hinders me from living in a good house with iron sheets, be food secure and manage my house in every way money can.
