What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for paying off mortgage of UGX 300,000 which enabled me to get back my land. I bought two goats at UGX 103,000, a music woofer at UGX 160,000. I have saved UGX 1,070, 000 which I intend to use for paying dowry as it is a tradition for a man to do this before taking the wife.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to sensitize people to spend their transfers wisely and peacefully. I do not see any thing they are doing bad.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I now sleep on a good double bed while enjoying cool music. I'm also planing to marry a wife since money for paying dowry is now available. Before, I was sleeping on the floor and It would take me many years to work for money for paying dowry if I had not received this transfer.
