How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because we are leading a better family as a family. This is because we have our own shop that serves as a reliable source of income. More so, it is a source of employment to me - being a shopkeeper. Hence, I am less worried about what to do to earn a living unlike before when I used to handle tedious activities like weeding.

In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well in the way it offers aid in the form of money. Money is a flexible resource that could be used to handle varied aspects by different families. Accordingly, virtually every family is satisfied because they have acquired the varied things and items they needed. Since every family and individuals have specific needs and demands, support in the form of money was the most appropriate. Thus, I find nothing that GiveDirectly does not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 35000 KES of my second transfer on acquiring a cow that we are raising. To me, this is an invaluable investment because the cow will multiply. Thus, I will sell them to fetch more money in the future. Besides, I used 5000 KES on purchasing clothes for my family members. Moreover, I acquired maize worth 4000 KES for consumption by my family. Finally, I used the remaining amount on acquiring more stock for my shop. Having a shop means a lot to me and my family because it serves as a reliable source of income.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that I now have a cow which gives us milk for use and sale. My happiness is to see my children enjoying taking tea with milk.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is when I was in admitted in hospital for two months and I was not able to pay the hospital bill.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening , this is when my husband comes home from work and bring some food for the family.
