My spouse and i are living in his father's house which is already very old and has a bad roof that's leaking therefore, I've decided to use my most recent transfer on building a new structure.

GiveDirectly is doing well by respecting the decisions we make as to how we spend our cash.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?

In my mind GiveDirectly is doing well for me because with the help of GiveDirectly I will be able to build and I also bought Mattress to sleep on. As for me I have not seeing anything that GiveDirectly did not do well.

I am planning to buy zinc for the roofing of my house and the balance will be used to pay my daughter's fees in school.

GD is doing well to help improve my life through the cash transfer and I am grateful to them for all the support.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't have a new goal besides my house project. My focus is on the house because I want my family and me to have our own home instead of just living in the family's house. As you can see I am on my way to cashing out the transfer and when I'm successful I will be buying additional materials for the house and the balance will be spent on my daughter's schooling.

RE: We spend the most of our recent transfer on purchasing materials for the construction of our new home. We purchased zinc, nails, gas, among others.
We have been struggling for a comfortable house to sleep therefore givedirectly has just come in time to safe us as we normally tell each other, my spouse and i.
This is also hunger season because with the rain it's difficult to go out in such of food so we purchased food for our household.

RE: The biggest difference in our lives at the moment is the happiness we carry in our heart's knowing that we about to own a house of our own.
We are sure to have enough food throughout this rainy season.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
RE: It was on a early morning i wokeup and started doing my usual house chores, When my phone started ringing, my spouse give me the phone to answer, while on the phone we heard noise from some of our neighbors saying their givedirectly cash has come.
Therefore after i ended the call my spouse than decided to check our Mobile money balance and there was our money.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Some of the challenges we are facing is the lack of cash to support our kids in school and to provide their daily needs and wants.The inability to our own house is also a major challenge too.
What is the happiest part of your day?
As for us, in the last six months, we have been living happier with our family and friends. Most importantly, hearing the arrival of Give Directly in our town brought to us a lot more happiness.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am opportune to benefit for this cash transfer, I will build a house for the family to reside. We are currently living in one of our neighbors house and it's a serious threat for our kids to play freely. Secondly l am going to support my kids education.
