What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my third transfer on renovating my house by smearing it with mud hence its more modified and beautiful 24,000 KES.I bought a dairy cow 10,000 KES , sofa set seat 8,500 KES and a bed 4,500 KES. I also bought one bag of maize to feed on with my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I have paid off dowry and this act has brought a great extent of respect between my in-laws and I.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by giving the poorest households in my community money with on strings attached since it has enhance economical empowerment.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my entire second transfer to build a nice spacious house since the previous one was very old and could collapse any time.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have a nice spacious house which is strong fixed with a steel door and now I don't worry about the property inside and the house in general, because the other one was very old and could collapse anytime.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer I spent 4000 KES on 7 iron sheets, I offered 1000 KES as a church tithe, and I spent the remaining 5000 KES on a bag of fertilizer.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
When I will receive this my upcoming transfer, I will build a semi-permanent house of 35 iron sheets and invest the remaining amount in sugarcane farming.

I am planning to spend my transfer on dowry. I will buy some cows, which I will to my in-laws, together with some cash as our custom requires.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is building my own house with the money I got when I sold some rice from my farm.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am facing in my life is the fact that I have not paid dowry for my wife, and so I am not at peace with my in laws.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I have finished working in the rice paddies.
