What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on building a new 4 room house and leveling the floor using murram for 100,000 KES (I had saved second transfer for this purpose).Housing had been an urgent need for us since our previous house leaked as we build it using aged iron sheets, and it was also a small house for a couple who are Christians and receive a lot of visitors.Thank you very much, go and do likewise to other poor families.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my second transfer on buying building materials such as 30 pieces of iron sheets 24,000 KES , two steel windows 7000 KES and a steel door 8000 KES since I am planning to build a decent spacious three roomed house. The remaining amount I have paid school fees arrears for my daughter 11,000 KES who is in high school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest differences in my daily life are I am happy that I am seeing my daughter through her education with ease since I started receiving this transfers from GiveDirectly as she hasn't been sent home due to school fees arrears. I have also bought the necessary building materials hence I am hopeful of building a decent house that I have been longing for.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face is not earning sufficient income to sustain my family's basic needs and education. This is because farming that i do engage in has not been so fruitful of late in the region due to the severe drought being experienced all over.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evenings because it is the time when I get to rest from my daily chores and my children also come back home from school safe and sound.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means the start of a better life for my family.I plan to use the money to pay school fees for my child who is in secondary school and also build a much bigger and better house for my family.
