I spent my second fransfer for building an Iron roofed house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Give Directly did well to give me cash because in my entire life I have never held that amount of money, I used to work in a cotton farm but I couldn't get even 100,000ugx at the end of the month.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have an iron roofed house unlike before when I used to sleep in a grass thatched hut and I have got back my garden which I had mortgaged.

I spent on paying a portion of my debt which was worth 2,000,000 UGX .
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The monent I received the money I was very overjoyed and very happy because I was overburdened with debts.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life is now debt free. I am not worried anymore like before. I can now move and socialise with people freely without worrying about debts whom I owe.

The biggest hardship I have ever faced is the debts which made me hand over my gardens to neigbours.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when am with my stepmother who is 92 years telling stories of her husband.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means, I will be in position to buy food for myself which I have been lacking for so long.
