What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of my second transfer on livestock farming to help me save a portion of the money for future payment of school fee for my children. Secondly, I paid school fee for my children in secondary school. I am so happy that despite being poor, I managed to pay school fee for my children in good time which could only be made possible by rich parents. Lastly, I purchased clothes for my family. As we speak, my children and spouse dress so well that people could easily mistake them for the rich in the village.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has worked so well in ensuring that those with grass thatched houses were enrolled into the program and their transfers sent which enabled them to construct better houses.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Were it not for the transfers, I would not have initiated the construction of a new house which I had longed for, for so long. i am so happy that I will soon move into a new house, courtesy of Give Directly.
