Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I am happier because I can afford to have a balanced diet each day compared to the past when I only had vegetables as the main dish. Secondly, we can afford to dress well because I bought more new clothes. Before receiving this cash transfer, most of the family members had two pairs of clothes which were worn out as a result of over washing.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very excited when I received the transfer because It was going to solve some of problems in my home like school fees and food shortage.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I lent my son UGX 900,000 since he wanted to buy a motorbike, I bought clothing and household property ( a mattress, pair of bed sheets, utensils and a water drum) worth UGX 485,000. I paid school fees worth UGX 200,000 and paid labour worth UGX 10,000. I spent part of the transfer on buying food but can not remember the expenditure.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will build a permanent house that I will stay in. This is because, the house I stay in is grass thatched and itbis very expensive to renovate it on yearly basis due to the cost of purchasing grass.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the noon time after my children have come back from school. They will find when I have found what to eat and their company gives me joy. Above all, when I see them playing and healthy, it's the source of my happiness too.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face in my life is inadequate financial support. I have children that are studying and my challenge is lack of a financial source on income that will facilitate payment of their school fees in a timely manner. Currently, I am relying on farming as my main source of income which is not reliable.
