How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before I started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly, I had the dream of building my own house. Therefore since I started receiving my transfers I used all the previous and bought the building materials.However with my recent transfer my goal is stilled the same that is to continue with the building project until it is completed.Therefore I used a portion money and bought the remaining materials. Moreover the remaining was spend as workmanship. I am very happy for the level of changes taking place in my life with the help of GiveDirectly financial assistance.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Words are inadequate to express how grateful and excited I am with me being one of the beneficiaries of GiveDirectly. In my opinion GiveDirectly is the number one best Organization that I have ever known. The method used by this integrity Organization in giving to the poor directly is the best method ever. Truly speaking they did extremely well for us. A big thanks to GiveDirectly for this life changing opportunity.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, it had been my biggest dream to built my own house. with that desired I have been using my transfers buying building materials. Now with my recent transfer, I used a portion of the money and bought the remaining materials such as planks and nails. Finally the remaining money was spend as workmanship for the contractors.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE: My family and I survive from the cassava patch we make each year, we normally produce garri and fufu from our cassava patch and sell it. I have always had the dream of building my own house but, because of our financial constraints it was some how difficult. But with givedirectly cash transfer, i can say am at the vouch of living my deams right now.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE: With a grateful heart i appreciate givedirectly for bringing such program to us. We are honored for this blessing, in my opinion givedirectly is doing very well with this program they have brought to us.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
RE: I am spending the most of my money on the purchasing of gas for the production of planks to construct my own house. I will also use the rest of the money to pay workmanship of the building and the person who will produce the planks as well.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Firstly I want to give thanks to God and givedirectly for the support. My is to buy additional building materials for my house project. My plan was to build my own house in my village, because the house I'm living in right now is my sister house and the room is too small for me and my sister. I am a farmer, I farmed for living. I am so grateful to Givedirectly that I was enrolled on this program.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly did very well in my life and that of our village, givedirectly was able to give me money to build my own house in my village. Givedirectly was able to enrolled half of our village. There are so many new houses with in my village all because of givedirectly support. Givedirectly has done very well.

Firstly I'm planning to buy additional building materials like iron sheets 2 bundle, I am also planning to buy enough foodstuff for my family. I will also paid the workmanship.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was preparing meal for my family when the message came that I have received money from GiveDirectly. I started to shout and dance because I never thought of receiving such a huge amount. I was so happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
It is because of GiveDirectly that I am going to build a house for my family and I. Before, we never had money to build a house. My husband is a student and he is in grade 9. I am the bread winner for my family. I make cassava farm to provide meal for my children and husband. This payment has help me reduced some worry from on me and take away shame from my face because I am going to have a house of my own.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought zinc to start the construction of my own house for my family and I. My husband and I plus our children live in my brother's house. We sleep in one room and everytime my brother's wife and I make confusion over the children behaviour. Most time living in my brother house with my family makes me so embarrassed. So, I am going to use my recent transfer to buy zinc to build my own house for my family and I.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I was doing clothes business during the rainy season of last year, but I stopped selling because my daughter had a motorcycle accident and the ridder escaped so I used all of my business money to send her to hospital. So, once I get this transfer I will start a new business".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Last christmas season my bigger brother gave me enough clothes as my children christmas gift, so I was really happy about that"
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"my spouse and I had a big farm that fed us for the entire farming season last year, but now I do not have a farm so providing food for my family is my today's challenge".
