What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my third transfer on buying three oxen to assist me on cultivating my farm since before the transfer I was practicing hand cultivation which was time consuming and the yields I used to get was little which made me have a meal in a day and having three meals was just a luxury .I also bought a cupboard and a sofa set seats with the remaining money I bought food too for my family consumption.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying a second hand motorcycle which I am using in transport business. I also bought iron sheets which I want to use to be build a house with.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my first transfer on buying a goat and three chicken 8,000KES and now I am happy since I have my own livestock which I can sell some when I have emergence such as diseases in my household. I also bought a half bag of maize 1,500 KES.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer ,I felt very happy and I was surely convinced that GiveDirectly truly fulfills promises to the poorest households for the improvement of their livelihood.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is waking up to work on other peoples farm every other day to feed my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I can't say I have the happiest day or part of my day but waking up to a new dawn is a blessing.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
We have been living in poverty all my life and my family has been working on other peoples farms to get food. This money will bring great change in my life and I will be able to start small business and I will be able to own cattle. Thank you five directly family.
