How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I previously had a major plan of buying land in Buchanan and buildIng a house along with shop for business purpose. I also had a second plan of renovating my deplorable old house, the house in question had been damaged for a very long time now. Due to financial constraints I couldn't afford to achieved this goals. After receiving my transfer from GiveDirectly, I decided to keep it on my phone and wait for the remaining transfers before cashing out. My transfer was spend on buying land which I purchased for 70,000 LD. As I speaking right now all of my projects are onging both renovation and building. I just want to take this time to appreciate the family of GiveDirectly for the kind gesture to us me and my family in rebuilding our life.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to buy land for my children and improve my house. Before GiveDirectly could come,I have been suffering and living in a leaking house. I want to buy the land as a remembrance for GiveDirectly and I will explain the story to my children when they grow up that a NGO call GiveDirectly was the one that make me to buy land for them.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well for me by giving me this money. But where they didn't do well is that we are suffering to get the money that they sent us. Secondly they don't accept even water from us to drink neither talking about food or fruits. We are begging them to have their own agents so we can get our money easily.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc, paid my children school fees, and bought food. I took some of the money and bought cement to improve my house. I'm keeping the balance money to add the remaining transfer so that I can buy land. If it wasn't going to be GiveDirectly, the money that I used to pay my children school fees and materials,I wasn't going to afford it. So I am really grateful to them.
