How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I do not leave home for odd jobs just to raise money for school fees and food, I dress well and we have never gone without eating.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Apart from earlier set goals, I wish to renovate or build a new house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I used to leave my children at home alone going to search for jobs to raise money for school fees for my son who was constantly being sent home for the same but since Give Directly came into my life, he has been studying in peace and I don't struggle anymore. I pay school fees in time and we eat well. We are very happy as a family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I would want to buy a cow to be an investment for my family.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is having an unreliable source if income making it hard to pay my children's school fees and providing other basic needs for the family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the evening after getting what I would provide for my family for supper. I am always happy knowing that they would not go to bed on empty stomach.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend a larger part of my transfer on starting fish business and spend the rest on paying my son's secondary school fees.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement was in the year 2014 when I harvested 5 bags of maize, 60 kgs of beans and 56 kgs of sorghum from my farm after using fertilizer and hybrid seeds. This provided food security for my family for a good period of time.
