How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I could not have received the transfer I could still be sleeping in my mother's house, because I could not managed to renovate my house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give directly did very well by dealing with people directly and not involving the authorities which could not have deliver everything in a better way. I did not see what give directly did do well
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I was attacked by unknown people and they took the whole of the transfer after i had withdrawn the whole of it from the empesa agent.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I used to depend on casual work like land cultivation, the pay was so little hence I could not save anything because what I received I used on supporting my family. I thank God through Gd, I have managed to buy six sheep for rearing which is my greatest investment. This is my biggest difference because I can say I am a rich man. I have future plans of selling them once they multiply and buy a dairy cow that will give me milk both for sale and also domestic use. This will increase my daily financial income and boost my living standards.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I woke up at 6 am as obvious switched on my phone, Immediately my phone beeped thrice, I checked the message and I could not believe what I saw and checked again, "you have received 55000 KES from GD." I bought airtime so that I confirm if I had the money in my mpesa as the message states. I confirmed and called my wife that I had received money from GD. I went to my mother's house due to a lot of excitement to show her the message. She was also very happy for me. I went back to my house, prepared my self and went to the mpesa agent to withdraw the money. I did shopping both for my mother and wife. Mainly foodstuffs, because we did not have food in the house at that time, came back home and later planned on how to spend the remaining amount.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought six sheep for rearing because I have been longing to keep them in large scale since they multiply very fast. In future, I can sell them when I have a financial crisis or even start a new project of buying a dairy cow. In our place, we do have dry seasons in most cases and sheep can survive without any difficulty. They are very easy to take care of since they need less supervision. I also talked about buying a dairy cow that will give me milk for domestic use and also for business hence this will increase my daily financial income and enable me to support my family financially with a lot of ease. I also bought a television and in my free time, I can watch news and other programmes as I rest after taking care of my livestock instead of loitering around like before.
