Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to keep improving my poultry farm. I will later sell some to buy a sheep for rearing. I will keep rearing both the sheep and the chicken and eventually buy a dairy cow. I know with livestock in my homestead, I will be able to earn a decent living. I won't be walking around looking for casual jobs to do. It feels good to manage my self and monitor my growth in the farming business.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that nowadays I am able to meet all my daily needs. This is because I managed to start poultry farming using the transfers from Give Directly. I vowed to always expand my farm by buying three chicken whenever I receive the transfer. I don't regret making this choice because it's now the main source of income. I no longer depend on the tiresome casual jobs in order to put food on the table.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to grow financially by investing more in farming. I want to improve my poultry project by adding more chicken. I also have a plan of buying a sheep for rearing. All these are all aimed at improving my lifestyle and to get to a position where I can be of help to my relatives or any person who may need my help.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different because I meet my daily needs as well as those of my family. We all use the money I get from the eggs to buy household items. This possible because the project has now expanded sufficiently. The joy I get from the proper poultry house I have built is immense. My investment in layers is secure because the chicken is not exposed to catch diseases since they are not let to roam in the village. Keeping them enclosed using the wire mesh structure that I installed has also increased production. I find it easy to control the birds and the higher production is a really good thing for me financially.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal to buy goats. I will use this an investment to keep and grow my money. I intend to excel in goat keeping and make it a source of income as well.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the constant income from the poultry farm. When I received the transfers four months ago, I increased the number of layers, improved the poultry structure and is now working on constructing a house for more chicks. I recently hatched about 45 chicks and I collect about 20 eggs per day that gives me at least kes 200 per day. I am glad to have this source of income unlike before when I used to get money from casual jobs that were not always available on a daily basis.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my daily life to have changed in that I will be having the financial strength to meet my needs. Egg production is one of the very important income sources that I will be enjoying because of the aid that GiveDirectly gives me. I am determined to make it a long lasting project so that I benefit from it beyond the end of the transfer period.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because I currently do poultry farming. I do sell some eggs to earn me some income. I am optimistic that if I let my chicken hatch, the number of my poultry will increase thus I will earn more income from the sales of chicken and eggs. Before I use to depend on casual jobs which were sometimes hard to find. I am happy now that I get money for buying myself and family some basic needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, it is my new goals to expand poultry farming so that I can get a sustainable income. I have seen a great difference in my life since I started this project. I believe that I can do better and earn more profit from it. As a result, these will improve my income .
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that we have adequate food for our family. Since I used the earlier transfers from GiveDirectly on building a poultry house and buying chicken. Moreover, we get eggs from the poultry project that I have established. Hence, I feel more empowered to support my family unlike before when I had to rely solely on my casual job.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I plan to start dairy goat farming. I opt for this farming as it requires less capital to start and easy to feed. The main aim of keeping this goat is for milk production. Buying milk has been so costly for me which has led us into frequently taking black tea as opposed to milked tea. I am hopeful that we are going to getting enough milk for my family's consumption.
