Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when i saw the alert that i have received the money. I could not believe it but i was very happy
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference for me, is that i have been able to start a business. I was just staying at home without doing anything with my skill set, now they have been put to use, all because of Give Directly transfers.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was trained on how to make various detergents namely: dish washer, detergents for car washing and for cleaning the floor and toilets. However I have been lacking on the capital for buying resources for making these products. After receiving the transfer, i was able to procure materials and resources for making the products. As of now, i have sold some of them to customers, and i will be making more. Now i am able to to do business. I have Also bought various kitchen untesils.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am so happy to receive these funds from GD. Mostly we people living in staff houses are not included in the programme in the village. This is the first. You should tell this way of doing things to other NGOs
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am the happiest when I have food and money in my home and when I am with my friends chatting and relaxing
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I mostly struggle with paying fees for my children. One of my sons is in college and another in secondary school all these need fees and my salary does not accommodate me to cover all that.
