I spent all my third transfer to pay dowry.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I wouldn't pay dowry and I would have lose my wife.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In opinion,I didn't see what GD did wrong because the way transfer were send it allow us to plan with it well.thank you GD.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
My wife had been held by their parents since we were living with her on a come-we-stay relationship, which her parents actually frowned upon. Therefore when I received my second transfer, I prioritized payment of the dowry to set her free and I am very happy that even as we speak, I have my wife back, living with me.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am currently happily married. We love one another with confidence since our marriage has been legitimized by the payment of dowry.

I spent my first transfer to buy furniture,i never had any furniture in my house. I also ploughed my land waiting to plant when the rain comes.

I am planning to pay dowry for my wife who i cannot stay with because i have not paid dowry.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
My first plan is to use part of the transfer to buy two cattle to pay as dowry for my wife. Secondly, I intend to use another part of the transfer to buy furniture. Lastly, I plan to use the remaining amount to plough my farms, where I intend to grow maize, for food security.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am very proud of is, having undertaken a painting course, that has enabled me to earn a living today.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is, providing food for my family, due to unreliable source of income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoons, when I am doing my casual work, with expectations of earning some income at the end of the day.
