Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I have been working very had to raise enough money to feed my home, build a house, and pay my children tuition as well. Lately life has become very difficult due to limited finances so I could not achieve my target. Suddenly, I received my transfer from GiveDirectly while I was still in my bedroom lying down. I was very excited and I knew that with these transfers I will be able to achieve my goal.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I planned to send my children to school and built my house, I am renting this house. My children are not in school because I do not have money to pay their tuitions, most of their friends can be in school while they are home doing nothing.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The news of GiveDirectly in this district brought some level of happiness and hope to my family in this community, I highly leave this place because I wanted to be one of the first group of people enrolled when GiveDirectly comes.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
It's difficult to get money, I was doing a business but it has broken down because we were surviving on a market I started a year ago; as I speak, we do not have permanent source of income.
