What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Financial stability is what receiving this money means to us. Since we depend on charcoal burning which is unreliable, the transfers will help us establish a small business and purchase livestock. I am glad because our lives will change for the better and we will no longer have to worry about where money for daily use shall come from. I will take $400 from the transfers and purchase stock , $ 100 for leasing a shop and repairs. I am happy and thankful to Givedirectly as it has come at the time i needed most.
What is the happiest part of your day?
There is nothing as good as having a place to call home. Fibe months ago, we relocated from the urban setting where we used to pay rent and build our own house at a land given by our parents. I am happy because I can farm comfortably at the same time and reduce expenses.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Financial constraints are the biggest challenge because my husband and I depend on charcoal burning to make ends meet. Currently ,the government has placed strict measures to restrict selling of charcoal and this has greatly affected our income. If we had a stable source of income life would have been better.
