What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Am so excited to receieve this money as am planning to buy a piece of land in bushubuya in the centre. The land there goes for abouut $1388 as the area is a bit safe and does not have landslides and mud flows in the area. Am also planning on buying a cow that can produce milk for my children to consume. The cow goes for about $555.
What is the happiest part of your day?
We were very happy when we managed to start off a new year when webare alive and healthy. The intensity of the rains the year 2022 kept us worried and we thought we may not start the next a new-year. Other than that we are glad and excited that we bare all not sick.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Destruction of my garden full of onions in the months of October and November of 2022. The rains were so intense and they ended up resulting to mudslides. The mudslides carried away most of my crops and taking away all the topsoils that had fertilizers in them. This led to very poor yields even right now we did not harvest more than 7bags of onions and yet in the past years we would harvest about 15bags. Our garden that had beans was so destroyed. This has resulted to hunger and currently do not have enough food to eat and also secure the food for February.
