How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different that it would have been if I never received the money, I now have my land and soon I will construct my house. I also have money and I can afford basic needs.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly did well to deal with recipients directly especially by giving us phones and sending us money on those phones. There is nothing they are not doing well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for organising the burial of my mother. The burial took 700,000ugx, I saved 700,000ugx and I don' t remember how I spent 233,000ugx since I had lost my mother.

The moment I received my money, I felt so good and happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to help me in weeding my rice which is in one and half acres of land at approximately 100,000 ugx
I also went for treatment of myself at 46,000 ugx since I was not feeling well and decided to take a medical test.
I also used my transfer to purchase a plot of land at 1,200,000 ugx. This land that I have acquired will help me settle in my own place and avoid people from chasing me away from every where I go. I will also feel free to do anything like rearing my livestock and poultry then having my own visitors.
I also spent part of my transfer to take care of my three children school demands like 150,000 ugx for their fees, 65,000 ugx for their school uniforms, and 45,000 ugx for their feeding at school.
I also had to buy some food using the balance to cater for us while home.
