What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer for building a house and buying house hold items.I used 1433000 for building and 200000 for house hold items
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give has helped the poor to improve their living standards by giving transfers. Give has done nothing bad.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Am now able to sleep in a permanent house which is not leaking compared to when Give directly had not come when i used to suffer in a leaking grass hatched house.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on purchase of building materials (bricks, iron sheets) at 414,000 ugx, 1 bag of sorgum at 70,000ugx, 1 bag of cassava at 156,000ugx. I also used used 200,000ugx for treament, i bought a goat at 80,000ugx and beddings (mattress, bed and bedsheets) at 180,000ugx. The balance i used for buying clothes, Kitchen utensils and food. I paid a loan of 140,000ugx and gave some little money to my two daughters who did not benefit from Give Directly.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received the transfer, i felt so happy but kept it within my heart for security purposes.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that i have been able to afford food unlike before when i slept hungry some days.

The biggest hardship i am facing is lack of food. I have nothing to survive on.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when someone gives me some food to eat.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means i will be able to build an iron roofed house and buy household items.
