What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Receiving this money is a big boost for me because I will be able to achieve my 2 biggest dreams. I hope to purchase this land I am living in. I still owe KES 15000. Once I achieve this, I will now be able to build a better structure for myself. I want to build an iron roof house. I am hopeful that my life will be better as I will also be in a position to purchase some livestock such as chicken so that I can be able to sustain my life in the long-term.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, I am grateful that despite my living condition, I have not fallen sick. I have been able to fend for myself by burning charcoal and the income from the proceeds has enabled me to sustain myself
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest challenge currently is that I was displaced by floods. I currently live in a borrowed land in a dilapidated structure. This worries me because I feel I am exposed as I don't have the means of building a better structure for myself. I fear that I might contract pneumonia as the nights are really cold.
