How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have been in position to renovate my house and to construct an iron roofed house for my son currently left with fitting doors and windows. In addition, I was able to acquire house hold items (big saucepan, 2 water drums, a matress and beddings). Before receiving this transfer, I didn't have hope of renovating my house and acquire the items I am now having because the little money I got was spent for buying food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to give me money that enabled me buy house hold items like a big saucepan, 2 big water drums and renovate my house. GiveDirectly has only done good to me.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase 25 pieces of iron, timber, cement and paying construction workers. I have not yet spent UGX 200,000 but I am planning to spend it to purchase cement and bricks.

The moment I received money from GiveDirectly, I felt very happy because I had never held such an amount of money in my life.

I have spent my first transfer on purchasing building materials ( 4 trips of bricks, 2 trips of sand, tools) worth UGX 860,000, transport worth UGX 350,000, bought household goods (2 pairs of bed sheets, utensils) worth UGX 118,000 and school fees 40,000. However the recipient spent on food but could not estimate the amount. There is a balance of UGX 200,000 which I'm planning to spend on labour.
