How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been working tirelessly just to earn enough money to renovate my house. The roof is very old. I also need to plaster the walls and put a concrete floor within the entire house. In so doing, I bought 3 bundles of zinc ($33,000LD); 5 bags of cement and 1 carton of mixed nails for the renovation of my house. Transfers received from GiveDirectly has changed my my life completely.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has been doing quite well with the entire program. I consider it a privilege to be part of this project. My life has finally changed and I see nothing that GiveDirectly is not doing very well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My main objective at the moment is to complete the renovation of my house. Hence, as soon as I received my transfer, I bought 3 bundles of zinc for $33,000LD. I also used portion of my transfer to purchase 5 bags of cement ($6,375LD) to plaster the walls of my house and put a concrete floor within the entire house. GiveDirectly has become a huge blessing to me and my family. I am so grateful.
