What did you spend your third transfer on?
I always wanted to become independent of my parents so i spent my third transfer on constructing my own house so that i vaccate my parents' house where I have been living my whole life. I feel like I am now old enough to live by myself.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Desperacy would have made me resort to stealing in order to fulfil my needs however my life is different in a way that i am now able to facilitate my needs thanks to the income i get from the investment I made with the transfers i received.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GD does well by delivering as promised in the earlier stages of the program i.e. the amount of money that we were promised is the exact one we got.

I used my second transfer to buy a cow so i can rear it and get milk later. I also rented a piece of land to cultivate sugar cane for sale

The biggest difference in my daily life is getting a cow and having sugar cane for sale

The moment when I received my money i felt really happy because I had never held such a sum of money in my entire life but thanks to GD I have got it

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on buying a piece of land to grow coffee and also buy livestock like cows and goats.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is my house because i went through a lot get it where it is now.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is dropping out of school at the level of senior three. My parents gave birth to many children so they could not take care of us equally. I keep wondering what i would have become if i completed school and this stresses me up to now.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I get to have conversations with my friends.
