Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is seeing and knowing that GiveDirectly really does it's things in a transparent and honest way. They promise and delivere! This has given me a different way of seeing life. Secondly, I am so happy that I was able to pay up my children'spending fees and complete building my mother her house. Prior to getting this transfer, my mother's house was in a sorry state that she even had always move to my house which is also small.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt so deligthed knowing that I would majorly pay up my children's fees and complete building my mother's house.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer Ugx 300000 to pay up a fees debt for my children. I then helped my mother with 700000 to complete building her house. I then used Ugx 550000 to process and acquire a driving permit. I gave the balance of the money to my wife to plan for her and house needs.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to buy a motorcycle which can give me daily earnings to sustain my family. Currently, I am finding it difficult to survive because there is no clear source of income. My wife works as a routine cancelling and testing agent but sometimes her pay delays.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening If I have been able to fulfil my responsibility as a household head.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is meeting the daily survival needs of my family. The piece of land that I have is too small to accommodate all that I would wish to cultivate. sometimes I am forced to hire land which is also expensive for me. Once in a while, I have tried to borrow a motorcycle as a way of trying to earn a living but this is not reliable.
