How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed alot because I was able to settle medical bills and also acquire an ox for ploughing.
More so, I can now communicate easily with my relatives. Previously, I had no personal phone which was a big challenge to me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly did well to send us cash transfers that have empowered the community. Personally, I have been able to boost up my food supply.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I purchased an ox and some household items such as mattress, chairs. I also hired a piece of farm land. The balance was spent on medical bills and weeding expenses.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is I have enough farmland to cultivate on. This transfer helped me get back my land which I used as collateral security to secure school fees for my education. Transportation is so easy nowadays compared to the past because I managed to buy bicycle. I ride to long distances within a short period of time unlike before when I used to walk as means of transport.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I became so happy when I witnessed with my own eyes GD transfer. At this point in time I lost my sleep, prayed and thanked God for having brought GiveDirectly to my community. Since time momerial I have never held this kind of money therefore, I'm so glad for GD because this money will improve my standards of living.

I paid off land mortgage which I acquired for education. I bought a bicycle to ease my transport. I hired farmland, bought seeds, feeding and medical.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I am listening to news over the radio

The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of land for cultivation.
