How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I'm deciding to improve my house condition for now.I just bought the balance zinc to complete my house. I'm going to paid some gentleman to build my house. Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was at home cooking when one of my neighbors went to the spot we usually get connected to the network to check for message in his phone. After two hours he came back and told me and the others to check if our transfers have been sent to our various phones. As for me, I got through cooking before going to check. When I got to the network area I received a message from GiveDirectly that I have received forty thousand three hundred seventy five dollars. I was over happy to have received that amount of money for the first time in my life.

The biggest difference in my daily life since I started recieving payments from GiveDirectly is sleeping in a house that is covered with zinc and my children going to school. I am so happy for this opportunity I am going to make a maximum use of it. Moreover I feel relieved seeing my children going to school.

As you can see, this house is in a deplorable condition. At the back I had to , my family and I have no option but continue sleeping in it.Now that I have received this amount of money, I am going demolish this structure and build a decent house. Meanwhile, I used portion of my recent transfer bought zinc and the balance was used to pay my children's school fees.

What brought me joy and happiness in the past six is my children are going to school. We didn't have money to pay the school fees when school just open, but now my children are in school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I'm face with right now are: the house my family live in right now is not in good condition and i don't have money to pay my children school fees.
