Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
in the next four months, I have a new goal to expand the construction of the chicken coop to accommodate more chickens. The initial project was to start small but with time I have seen it grow and currently it needs expansion. I have been saving towards the same and starting the expansion process will be an easy task and will not take a long time.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
After receiving the first transfers from GiveDirectly, we decided to pull our money together in a merry-go-round. Together with the other 5 members, we agreed to be contributing 1000 KES monthly to one of the members until the cycle was complete. When I received my turn, I decided to venture into livestock farming as a source of income. I started a poultry farming by first constructing a chicken coop, and later purchasing chicks which I have been raising since then. Currently, I have been selling eggs and sometimes chickens to enable me to meet the daily needs of the household. This to me is the biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
With the plans underway, I expect to have fully established the poultry farming project and income generation will have improved as the number of birds in the coop will have also increased.
