Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt so happy knowing that I was getting back my land that had been taken over five years ago.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the feeling of being happy having got back my farm land that had taken over five years. Prior to getting this money, I had no hope of ever getting that land back.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent part of my first transfer get back farm land that was given out in exchange for money to solve an immergency at Ugx 900000. I bought a bull at Ugx 670000 I spent the balance on household items such as bed sheets, food for children among others.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means paying off a debt d land that I had mortgaged. I will be able to regain ownership of my three acres of land which will boost crop production. I will own oxen to enable easy ploughing for easy and early crop planting.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day a round mid day when I have completed carrying on with my household work (garden work). I go to the nearby centre to socialize with others while taking alcohol.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face in my life is lack of a reliable source of income for the household. I am a peasant farmer and inadequate land and lack of oxen for crop cultivation had hindered income generation at household level.
