What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my transfers, I spend a bigger percentage of the money in paying hospital bills. I have been having a stomach ache that was consistent and local dispensaries could not solve the problem. Accessing other hospitals needed money. I also had an eye injury which needed the attention of an ophthalmologist. The transfers made it possible for me to visit one. The remaining amount I did fix the steel doors in my house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received these transfers, I was relieved. My health was deteriorating and I had no way out because I lacked resources to help me pay for the consultation bills. This was a breakthrough.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that I have been able to get medication and my health is improving as compared to how it was initially before the transfers. I am able to afford a smile knowing that all will be well.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Financial constraint is the biggest hardship that I face in life. Due to my poor health ever since I started experiencing the excruciating stomach pains and also hurt my right eye,I have not been active enough to engage in any income generating activities. This has forced my husband to be the sole bread winner but his income is hardly enough. What he earns can not pay for my medical examinations and treatment let alone meet other household expenses like buying food consistently. I see the frustration and helplessness in his eyes every time he sees me going through the painful episodes yet he is not able to help in relieving my pain. In order to make the situation bearable for him because I know he really tries his best,I try to put on a brave face for his sake but it is not easy.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when my husband returns home from work and I am able to share the evening meal with him as we share experiences of how each others day had been.He leaves the house very early as I remain behind to perform light duty household chores like cleaning and cooking. Since I became sick, I hardly get out of the house because I am required to take a lot of rest and stay away from direct sunlight that hurts my eye. Being couped in the house all day and alone by myself is always very boring and I really look forward towards the evening when he comes back so that I get someone to talk to .
What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money will enable me to seek proper medication for the numerous health conditions that I have been suffering from. I have been experiencing excruciating stomach pains more so during my monthly cycle that bars me from doing any heavy duty jobs. Just recently,a piece of wood got stuck in my right eye while splitting firewood and from medical examinations conducted, I need to undergo a minor surgery for it to be removed. The pain that I undergo on a daily basis is unbearable more so when I face direct sunlight and this forces me to stay in doors most of the time. I have wished to get proper treatment for both conditions but this has been impossible due to lack of finances to meet the medical expenses. With this money, I see my pain being relieved because I will use the money to go for treatment.
