Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Before getting this transfer, life was very hard in that sometimes we slept without eating because I could not afford to provide food for my family all the time. For us to have a better meal, we depended on casual labour which was also paid in instalments. However, my family and I are now healthy because I can buy food and not only food but a balanced diet. Secondly, I also own a calf which I hope to use in future for ploughing my farm land.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received, I felt very happy because I never thought of build a permanent house in my life.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent my first transfer on purchasing clothing/ household goods ( 3 pair of bed sheets, 2 mattresses, cupboard, utensils, ) worth UGX 700,000, bought building materials ( 2 trips of bricks, iron sheet, timber) worth UGX 600,000, purchased a calf worth UGX 350,000 and bought food worth UGX 50,000.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to buy two oxen that will help me in ploughing land d easy and timely crop cultivation. Currently, I rely on neighbours who own oxen, I help them to plough in their gardens in exchange for them to support me plough in mine. I will spend part of the money to make bricks that I will sell some to raise money which money will in turn support me build a permanent house. I sleep in a grass thatched house which is very expensive to renovate due to scarcity of grass for thatching. In case of any balance, I will acquire some household items like bedding and utensils in order to improve on the living standards.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I have compmeted my household chores. I will then bath and rest while interacting with my spouse and children. That makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I have in my life is that, I do not own any oxen that would make ploughing/crop cultivation easy. I have to help my neighbours who own oxen to plough in their land in exchange for them to support me plough mine too. This some time comes late which leads to poor yields, famine and low income for the household.
