When I received my first transfer, I used 300 KES to buy a mattress which I did not before. I then bought maize seeds worth 1000 KES which I planted on my farm. I also paid school levies for my children in primary school and sent another 1500 KES to my brother to support him with family upkeep since he is living with 2 of my children. The balance was spent on buying a half a sack of dry maize for my family's food since we did not have food in the house.
