How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Had it not for the transfers from GiveDirectly, I wouldn't have bought chicken which are currently my main source of income. Had it not for money, I would not have bought a cow that is providing milk for my family. Sometimes I also sell milk for income. My children are now happy, their health improved and I nolonger face stress which usually comes out of lack of money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly does good by offering financial support to poor people to help them rise beyond their means in terms of unconditional cash transfers. There is really nothing that GD does wrong! We are grateful that this assistance came to us in this time that we needed it most.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the second transfers in paying school fees for my children who are in secondary school. I also bought a cow since I had none yet its been my wish to own one.
