What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Quality education is what receiving this money means to me. I am happy because the transfers have come at the right time when I need it most. I depend on livestock keeping to make ends meet, at the moment the demand has gone down hence the market price is low. I plan to pay school fees for my children and build a house for my family of five. We currently live in a temporary shelter and it is not condusive for the children as they catch cold all the time.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Waking up each day in good health gives me peace of mind. I am able to go about my daily chores and provide for my children comfortably. I keep praying to God that I get enough strength to fend for my children until they are all grown ups.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Financial constraints are the biggest challenge. I depend on livestock to earn a living and since I have two children at secondary level, it has been difficult to raise enough money from a single source of income. I hope to diversify my income so as to be able to meet all the basic needs comfortably.
