What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I receive this transfer, I intend to fix my house that my father left behind. The house is badly damaged with all of the roof corroded. I am only depending on subsistence farming, that is, small cassava farm to cater to food and other needs. The little income I get from the small farm is insufficient to buy zinc and renovate the house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought me happiness since the past six months is that I am okay in my body with no sickness. God has blessed me with good health to be able to do my farm work every day. Secondly, my children tuition fees were paid for this year through the small farm work I have been doing.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
One of the major challenges facing me now is that I need money to fix my house. The house has been leaking for two years now. I don't have strength to work because I am old now and that I don't have a husband to help as well. All of my children are still in school and are not working too. The only way I can get money is when I harvest my small cassava farm and sell some, the money I get is used to pay for my children tuition fees. So, for the past two years now I have not been able to buy zinc and renovate the house. This is my major challenge right now. Secondly, the children tuition fees is also another major challenge especially when the farm doesn't produce so that I can able to sell some of the products. But thank God that the farm produce this year and help me paid for the children tuition fees.
