Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Owning the pair of oxen which I will be using to plough my farm is the biggest difference in my daily life. I used to hire these services from neighbours at a fee during the planting season which was expensive for me. I am happy that now I have my pair which will facilitate ploughing and cultivating on time.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I realized that I had received my transfers, my heart was filled with happiness beyond measure. I knew that this money would enable me to achieve so many things in life which seemed impossible before. This money marked a new dawn in my life.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought two cows using my most recent transfer, KES 30000. I did this purpose of helping in my farming. I am hoping that I will be able to plough my farm on time. I also spent KES 5000 to purchase iron sheets to finish roofing my house. I also bought a mattress and a new bed to replace the old beddings that I have been using over a long time at KES 11500. I spent the remaining amount to do some household shopping on food and other household expenses.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I feel very bad that every time my husband comes home to visit our three children have to sleep in my neighbor's house because we only have one bed and mattress that we all share. I am grateful that with my transfers, I will be able to get them their own beddings and thus won't have to share space with the neighbors anymore. I also plan to do repairs to our current house because the roof leaks a lot during rainy seasons and my children are still young, wouldn't want them to catch diseases.
What is the happiest part of your day?
As a stay at home mum, am most busy in the morning when preparing my children for school and in the evening when they come home from school. In the afternoon though I get to rest and spend time on myself and bond with my 10 month old baby.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
In the just concluded rainy season, we experienced very little rainfall and our plants in the farms did not mature. This has forced us to start buying food from shops which is a bit expensive. Since I am a stay at home mum, my husband has had to strain so much financially to ensure he meets this dire need. Saving has become impossible as a big chunk of his pay is spent on food and other needs such as education.
