Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, my dream had been to start a business of my own that will enable me support my family financially. With this goal I have planned to wait for all my transfers so I can go to Monrovia to buy my goods. The thought of becoming self employed and an independent woman through GiveDirectly financial assistance bring me great Joy everyday.

I was in my garden when the message came so when I opened my message and saw the amount that Give Directly transferred to me I nearly collapse because, I couldn't believe what my eyes saw and I started dancing in my garden. I was overwhelmed with happiness.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I used to sell common wheat and bread in the morning to feed my family or sometimes, I will fix flour Chase to sell before we can buy food to eat. My Little daughter was often thrown out of class because of school fees. My boyfriend could not afford paying her school fees because he was doing day-boy work on the gold mine. Day-boy work on the gold mine is not paid equally as compare to the gold diggers and others. So many at times, we used struggled to survive but when I got enrolled and started receiving cash on the Give Directly program, things started getting very fine for me. Life has become very easy for me. I'm so happy for this cash transfer program because with the first transfer, I was able to paid my daughter school fees and bought food for the family.
