Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I have a new goal to start poultry farming. I have laid down some plans on the construction of a chicken coop which will be ready in the next two months. This plan to venture into poultry farming has been with us for a long time as we had been hoping to bring in another source of income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the great improvement of my farming. Initially, I was only running a subsistence farming but at the moment I have managed to also venture into livestock farming which means a projected increase in my income. The maize I planted are now flowered and it is just some months before we harvest and stop buying maize as we have always done. Our hope in life has been rejuvenated and our perspective on what seemed hard is now easy.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Base on the current progress in my plan to establish poultry farming, I have great expectations that in the next six months, it will be fully established and running.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal for the next four months is to construct a decent house. Currently, I am living in an old grass thatched roof hut that sometimes leaks during a heavy downpour. Since it was built several years ago, it looks old and unpresentable. I will, therefore, ensure that I save enough money and build a decent house and save me from the shame of living in a shanty building
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I can now support my family without any problem. My farming techniques have improved since I can now afford to purchase good quality seeds and fertilizer. This guarantees me a bumper harvest from the maize farm that I previously cultivated. The money I get from the sales of the maize is way much more compared to the wages I used to get from the casual jobs
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have built a new house. Even though it won't be a luxurious one, it will be more comfortable to relax and live in. I plan to start a poultry farm also. They will help me a lot since I can decide to sell a few to cater for emergencies. Apart from that, I also expect a bumper harvest since I used certified seeds and fertilizers. My dairy cow is also almost calving so I expect some income from the sale of milk.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I have been able to improve my farming practices. Through the transfers, I have managed to buy farm inputs. I have also been able to plant on time. Due to this, I am hopeful that my harvests this year will increase hence my family will have enough food to last us till the next harvesting season. In addition to this, my family now dress smartly. Even though our clothes are not expensive, I am glad since we are always decent and look presentable most of the time. Unlike before when we would put on tattered clothes because we could not afford such quite often.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal for my life for the next four months is to start poultry keeping project. I settled on this since it can be managed with other projects at the same time. They are also on high demand and I believe this business will grow within a very short time. I also like the fact that it does not require a lot of attention, once they are well fed they are good to go. I am glad that I finally managed to start a project that will sustain me for a long time
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have been able to provide adequately for my family. My transfers have helped me to achieve this. Since I now have sources of income, I can easily follow my budget and meet most of my family's needs. Initially, I only depended on casual jobs which were unreliable and paid very little. I could hardly take care of my family due to lack of enough money. I am glad because I now have a fall back plan in case I do not get enough money through casual jobs.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have started my poultry keeping project. With this project, I am optimistic that my family will be getting their needs on time. This is because I will be selling some of the eggs and use the money to meet our needs. I thank Give Directly for giving me the capital to start this project. I do not think I would have thought of starting this project this soon.
