Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was friday morning when someome who went on business trip to Monrovia called and told someone else in the town that he had received transfer message. I quickly went to network to confirmed and the transfer message was on my phone too. I was very very happy becauese my power saw spoiled and i could not get money to buy spare parts. I quickly withdrew the money and took my power saw for fixing.Thank God for .GiveDirectly.

The biggest difference in my life now is that im able to do things that o did not have money to do. I wss able to fix my power which has being spoiled for some time.now.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I plan to invest in my business that I am doing now. I do pit sawing and I own one saw. I get less profit when I am sponsored by someone to do my work. Before reaching an agreement, they will tell me the amount they feel that they can afford for my timber before I can start.
Having my own money to sponsor my work from start to end, will give me enough profit. So this transfer will be used to sponsor my business
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me joy and is still bringing me joy is that, I am able to keep rendering financial assistance to my sick mother in Sierra Leone. Since June this year, my spouse left for Sierra Leone after getting the news of my mother's sickness. Since then, I have been assisting her and there's good news coming from there that her health is gradually improving and this news makes me feel very glad.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My current challenge is to fully support my mother and my siblings. I am a strong person and do a lot of work to sustain my family. I am the only boy child for my family and I have four sisters. All of the work I do and earn money from is not enough to compensate for the burden I receive from providing my family's needs.
I have lots of responsibilities from my family. I dropped out of school because I had to fully assume the responsibilities of the family after I loss my father in 2005. Presently, my youngest sister is in the senior class. Up to date, everything about my family lies on my shoulders but my earnings cannot make up for all their needs.
